I don’t get out much having to work to jobs and I take care of my daughter. Just was wondering if the was any legitimately free good dating sites. Thanks in advance.
The 2 main completely free dating websites are PlentyOfFish.com and OKcupid.com according to alexa.com, the most prominent web information company and traffic ranker.
However, on both PlentyOfFish and OKcupid, you are going to face some serious competition from other guys (men outnumber women 3 to 1 on free websites), so you’d better make sure you stand out from the rest.
I’d recommend the following page for tips on how to write your profile description, and how to choose your profile pic:

I ask because many over-40 folks seem to find the whole concept of online dating and "card dating" (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/22/fashion/22date.html) pathetic. However, I’m a non-drinking, classically attractive, petite and fit woman who feels the whole "walking up and hitting on someone" a total hoax. No man under 50 has ever hit on me my entire life, and all 8 men I hit on were gay/taken/not interested, leaving me with serious self-esteem issues.
I feel that online dating is the only way, yet it’s always met with disapproval. How can I convince these folks that online dating is the ONLY way a shy girl has any chance at romance?
Because they think they know everything, even though times are-a-changing. I met my husband online. My cousin met hers online. My other cousin met her boyfriend online. Not on a dating site though, just on a videogame. It seems to be the best fastest way to get to know someone.
You guys just talk and get to know each other.
Ok, so I am new to online dating. This one girl and myself were emailing each other a few times and we have spoke a couple times on the phone. We seem to get along well and decided to meet up. I have Boston Celtics tickets and asked her if she wanted to go. She said sure. Is this a bad first way to meet someone??
Answers from girls might be more helpful than from guys, but open to all opinions. I am just curious what a girls take is on this.
It really depends, If she is interested in sports, it’s a great first date, if she is not then it is a terrible first date, there is really no blanket answer and anyone who can answer yes or no to this question really has not got a clue, if you asked her if she wanted to go to see Boston Celtics and said sure, she likes you so don’t sweat it.
STOP OVERTHIKING IT, GET OFF YAHOO ANSWERS AND ENJOY YOUR DATE.
